Ndogbe Sprout had the distinct honour of hosting Mr. John Dumelo, Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture, during a recent visit to our farms and warehouse in the Volta Region. The visit provided an opportunity to showcase our innovative approach to post-harvest grain management, particularly our mobile thermal corn dryer.

Mr. Dumelo was visibly impressed by the efficiency and impact of the corn dryer, which is capable of drying up to half a ton of corn in just three hours. He commended the initiative as a practical solution to a longstanding challenge faced by many smallholder farmers—post-harvest losses. The Minister emphasized how such homegrown technologies play a vital role in strengthening food systems and securing Ghana’s agricultural future.
In a productive exchange, we discussed key issues including the need for simple, affordable mechanisation for smallholder farmers, sustainable food security strategies, and innovations that improve the value chain from harvest to market. Mr. Dumelo expressed keen interest in supporting scalable solutions like ours that empower rural communities and enhance the resilience of local food systems.

At Ndogbe Sprout, we remain committed to driving innovation that makes a tangible difference in the lives of farmers and the broader agricultural landscape of Ghana.
